He has global responsibility for technical soundness and quality of UL’s functional safety services, including certification, training, and advisory. He has more than 20 years of experience in design, assessment, and certification of safety-critical and mission-critical systems within various application domains (on-board automotive, automation and machinery, process industry, avionics, telecom) and in accordance with relevant standards. A former active member of IEC/SC 65 (maintenance of IEC 61508), and SC 22/WG6 (IEC 61800-5-2), he currently is involved in ISO/TC 22/SC 32/WG 8 (ISO 26262 2nd Ed) and ISO/TC 199/JWG 1 (merging of ISO 13849 and IEC 62061).
