This course explains leak investigation and the investigator’s primary mission of public safety and protecting property are described. All leaks, regardless of when and how they were reported, must be thoroughly investigated. Personal safety and the availability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are critical during investigations. This course explains what actions are to be taken when checking the interior of a building for a gas leak and what actions are to be taken when buildings are not affected by the gas leak. Finally, the learner is given the opportunity to take a “dry run” through a typical leak investigation.
