Introduction to UL’s Data Acceptance Program eLearning

UL’s Data Acceptance Program (DAP) provides a means for UL to accept externally generated test data in support of UL Mark certification. Participating test facilities are required to have the appropriate physical resources, equipment and qualified personnel needed to conduct testing, equivalent to what would be used in UL’s own laboratories for the same testing.

Learners with no previous experience or knowledge with DAP will be introduced to the five different types of data acceptance programs and the requirements necessary to participate in DAP in this eLearning module.

Upon completion of this seminar, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the importance and benefits of the Data Acceptance Program
  • Identify different types of Data Acceptance sub-programs and their applicability to UL clients
  • Explain the main requirements for participation within the Data Acceptance Program
  • List the primary roles and responsibilities of Authorized Signatories
  • Describe the Client Entry Program available for DAP Clients

Learning objectives will be measured by progressive knowledge checks.

Target Audience

  • Prospective DAP Participants
  • WTDP participants interested in transitioning to DAP
  • Compliance Staff, Laboratory Staff, Engineers and other roles interested in learning more about the UL DAP programs
