Transaction Security: An Introduction to NFC Technology


Description

Near Field Communication (NFC) is a technology that allows devices such as smart phones and tablets to communicate by touching them together or holding them in close proximity to each other or to a passive target.  This module provides an introduction to NFC (near field communication) technology for consumer technology manufacturers.  It describes how NFC can be used to enrich the functions and features of consumer electronics as well as the certifications needed for various uses.

Objectives

Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:

  • Describe the security features of NFC
  • Describe NFC modes of operation
  • Identify important points in the  history of NFC technology
  • Identify various uses of NFC technology
