Achieving Code Compliance Using UL Fire Resistance Designs


This course provides information on UL fire-resistance-rated designs, which can be utilized to achieve safe, code compliant installations. Participants will gain insight into what fire-resistive-rated construction is and where it is used, the building code requirements for fire-resistance-rated construction, and how assemblies are tested to establish an hourly rating. Participants will also learn how to locate suitable fire-resistance-rated constructions using the UL Online Certifications Directory and UL Product Spec. For participants in Canada, the course includes an optional module on the use of UL designs in Canada.
