Campus Safety: Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Standpipe and Hose Systems


Description

Standpipe systems are installed in buildings to provide the fire department or trained personnel with easy access to a strategically designed network of pipes, valves, hose connections and other equipment in the event of a fire. The inspection, testing, and maintenance procedures for standpipe and hose systems outlined in NFPA 25 are critical to ensure proper function in the event there is an emergency. This training will review the different types and classes of standpipe systems, as well as the key inspection, testing, and maintenance requirements for standpipe and hose systems. 

Objectives

Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:
