Managing Quality and Safety in AM - America Makes PRMM


In conjunction with America Makes, UL is excited to offer a condensed version of its Managing Quality and Safety in Additive Manufacturing course at the upcoming Program Review and Members Meeting (PRMM). This course is a discussion-oriented session in which participants gain a working knowledge of process and material hazard management and how to assure quality and safety in part production. This course will highlight AM facility safety management, identification and management of process and material hazards, and assessing conformance of parts manufactured using AM technologies.


Lunch will be provided prior to the start of the workshop.

Part Testing

  • Creating a part assessment strategy
  • ASTM 2921: Standard Terminology for Additive Manufacturing – Coordinate Systems and Test Methodologies
  • ASTM 2971: Standard Practice for Reporting Test Specimens Prepared by Additive Manufacturing

Target Audience

This course is intended for manufacturing facility managers, practicing quality and process engineers, and skilled technicians who want to understand how to manage quality and safety using AM.


Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Cancellation occurring two (2) weeks prior to the course date will be billed for twenty-five percent (25%) of the total registration amount. Rescheduling occurring two (2) weeks prior to the course date will be billed an additional ten percent (10%) of the total registration amount.
