DescriptionThis interactive two and a half-hour eLearning course will provide an in-depth exposure to UL processes and requirements for LED luminaires. The first module provides an introduction to UL, and covers its history, mission and the purposes and benefits of certification. The three primary lighting related certification services: Listing, Recognized Component, and the Classification marks are each covered and defined. The module also explains the submission process as well as the high-level steps to submitting a project.
The second module covers the constructional and performance requirements for compliance with the UL 8750 Light Emitting Diode (LED) Equipment for Use in Lighting Products Standard.
The third module covers the compliance requirements for the UL 1598 Luminaire Standard based on lamp type and installation criteria. Test protocols and apparatuses are also covered.
