Objectives

• Understand the elements of a total quality system—policy, manual, procedures, instructions, and records.
• Understand the relationships among the ISO and AS standards and the specific requirements of AS 9100C and its 
  auditing implications, ISO 9001, and other applicable standards and regulations.
• Using AS9101D and ISO 19011 with practical hands-on workshops, explain audit functions: preaudit activities, 
  conducting the audit, and postaudit activities.
• Through dynamic workshops (syndicated activities), describe how to conduct the documentation and performance 
  results review audit and plan audit activities; use the AS9101D auditing tools and reports.
• Understand the requirements for aerospace auditing, the auditing process and methodologies, and planning, on-
  site, and reporting requirements as described in AS9101D.
• Apply process-focused auditing and auditing for the effectiveness of the QMS and its associated processes as 
  required by AS9101D (including use and development of Process Effectiveness Analysis Reports, PEAR).
• Discuss how to conduct opening meetings; collect and evaluate audit evidence for both conformance to the 
  AS9100C requirements and AS9101D aerospace auditing process and effectiveness of the QMS and its 
  processes, including active listening and questioning techniques, and methods to handle confrontations; determine 
  audit findings; and plan and conduct closing meetings.
•  Write effective audit reports; issue AS9101D nonconformity reports, process effectiveness analysis reports 
  (PEAR), the QMS process matrix report, and the AS9101D objective evidence report.
•  Assess corrective action, close out nonconformities, and conduct surveillance audits.
