DescriptionThis one-day workshop provides an introduction to the new safety standard for Audio/Video, Information Technology and Communication Technology Equipment Part 1 - Safety Requirements, IEC 62368-1. IEC 62368-1 is a new safety standard containing requirements developed using Hazard Based Safety Engineering (HBSE) principles. The IEC 62368-1 standard, which is primarily performance-based, has evolved as a result of the convergence of technologies and product constructions associated with Audio/Video, Information Technology and Communications Technology Equipment.
The introduction to IEC 62368-1 workshop begins by introducing the background and purpose of this safety standard. In addition, the basic principles of HBSE are introduced as well as the principles and some general applications of the standard.
